How does AI Medication Label Scanning work?
You can capture a photo of a medication box, pharmacy dispensing label, or prescription bottle. PillPilot's vision engine extracts the drug name, strength, dosage form, and directions.

How does Voice Intake work?
You can tap the microphone button to dictate instructions (e.g. "Take 500mg Amoxicillin every 8 hours after meals"). PillPilot transcribes your voice on-device and organizes it into a reminder plan.
Can I manage inventory and low-stock warnings?
Yes! When adding or editing a medication, you can set your current stock count and unit. As you log doses, PillPilot automatically updates your inventory and alerts you when it is time to refill.

How do Strong Reminders and Alarms work?
PillPilot supports both gentle standard notifications and Strong Alarms (via iOS AlarmKit / Critical Reminders). Strong Reminders ensure critical doses are not missed even when your phone is in silent or Focus mode (when permitted).
Why did I miss a medication reminder?
Please verify the following iOS settings:
Open iOS Settings > Notifications > PillPilot and ensure Allow Notifications and Time Sensitive Notifications are enabled.
If you use Focus Modes (e.g. Sleep or Do Not Disturb), add PillPilot to the Allowed Apps list.
Ensure your device is not completely powered off or out of battery.
How do Dynamic Island & Lock Screen Live Activities work?
When a scheduled dose window approaches, PillPilot can display an active countdown timer on your iPhone's Dynamic Island and Lock Screen, letting you log intake with a single tap.

Is my medical data stored privately?
Yes, absolutely. Your medication records are stored locally on your device in your private database. We do not operate advertising trackers or sell your personal data.
How do I lock PillPilot with Face ID or Passcode?
Open PillPilot, navigate to Settings > App Lock, and toggle on Enable Face ID / Passcode. Once enabled, biometric verification will be required whenever the app is opened.

How do I sync my medication data across devices?
Ensure you are logged into the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in iOS Settings. PillPilot uses Apple's CloudKit to seamlessly sync your records across your iPhone and iPad.
How do I restore my data if I switch to a new phone?
When you log into your new iPhone with your existing Apple ID and install PillPilot, your iCloud synced medication plans and logs will download automatically.

How do I restore my PillPilot Pro purchase?
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices:
Open PillPilot and go to Settings > PillPilot Pro.
Tap Restore Purchases.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed directly by Apple:
Open the iOS Settings app.
Tap your Apple Account Name at the top.
