PillPilot Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before downloading, installing, or using the PillPilot mobile application ("App") operated by GL Technologies ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using PillPilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the application.

⚠️ CRITICAL MEDICAL & SAFETY DISCLAIMER

1. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE OR MEDICAL ADVICE: PillPilot is designed solely as an informational organization and reminder tool. PillPilot does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription management, or clinical decision support.

2. ALWAYS CONSULT HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS: Never rely on PillPilot as a replacement for professional medical judgment. Always consult a qualified physician, pharmacist, or licensed healthcare provider regarding your medications, dosages, contraindications, and schedules.

3. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: In case of a medical emergency, immediately call your local emergency services (e.g., 911, 112, 120, or local equivalent) or proceed to the nearest emergency department. Do not rely on PillPilot in emergency situations.

1. User Responsibilities & Verification of Data

Verification of AI and OCR Extractions: PillPilot provides automated tools such as camera label recognition, prescription OCR, and voice input. These features are assistive technologies and may occasionally produce errors or misinterpretations. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and confirming all medication names, dosages, strengths, frequencies, and scheduled reminder times before saving them or taking any medication.
Accuracy of Input: You agree to provide accurate medication and schedule details. We are not responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from inaccurate user inputs or unverified automated extractions.

2. Reminders & System Notifications

PillPilot utilizes Apple iOS local notifications, AlarmKit, and Live Activities to deliver reminders. However, notification delivery can be affected by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

Device power status (low battery, power saving mode, or shutdown).
System Focus / Do Not Disturb modes and notification permission configurations.
iOS background execution limits or system upgrades.

While PillPilot strives to provide timely alerts, you remain ultimately responsible for taking your medications at the appropriate times prescribed by your doctor.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

PillPilot offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions ("PillPilot Pro"):

Subscription Plans: Available on weekly, monthly, or yearly terms as displayed in the app's paywall.
Payment & Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID Account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings (iOS Settings > [Your Apple Account] > Subscriptions) at any time.
Standard EULA: In addition to these Terms, subscriptions and app usage are subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA).

4. Intellectual Property

The PillPilot application, including but not limited to its software code, user interface design, logos, icons, graphics, and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of GL Technologies and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the app.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PILLPILOT IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GL TECHNOLOGIES, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HEALTH COMPLICATIONS, MISSED DOSES, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF DATA, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

7. Modifications to Terms & Service

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms or update application features at any time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
